What we rebuild

Restoration for every kind of disaster

Restoring a building after a fire or flood is a big job. Water, smoke, and fire extinguishing methods often cause hidden damage beyond the primary affected areas. We evaluate your specific situation before we start, to ensure the best possible restoration of your building.

Structural rebuild after water damage in Austin TX
Water Damage

Rebuild after water & flood damage

After we extract the water and dry the structure, the real restoration begins. We handle full demo of compromised materials, new framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, and finish work, returning every room to pre-loss condition. Our infrared imaging technology identifies moisture within walls and ceilings before we close anything up, so hidden damage never becomes a future problem.

Fire damage rebuild and restoration in Austin TX
Fire & Smoke Damage

Rebuild after fire & smoke damage

Fire chemistry involves complex and severe reactions that require a unique approach on every job. We remove all grease, soot, burns, and hazardous materials before rebuilding begins, and we use ozone deodorization to eliminate smoke odors that standard cleaning cannot reach. Structural repairs use only the highest quality materials, determined by the extent of damage and agreed upon during your initial consultation.

Mold remediation rebuild in Austin TX
Mold Remediation

Rebuild after mold remediation

Mold remediation often requires removing drywall, insulation, subfloor, and framing to fully eliminate contaminated materials. After our certified mold crew completes containment and removal, we rebuild the affected areas completely: same materials, same finishes, same room as before. Antimicrobial treatment is applied to every surface before we close up walls.

Full home rebuild and reconstruction in Austin TX
Full Reconstruction

Complete home & commercial rebuild

Some disasters require more than patching. They require a full rebuild. We handle structural repair and reconstruction for residential and commercial properties across Central Texas, from single rooms to whole-home rebuilds. Every project includes a thorough pre-repair evaluation, a detailed scope agreed upon before we start, and a final walkthrough you sign off on before we call it complete.

Our approach

We evaluate before we rebuild. Every time.

At Total Restoration of Texas, we understand that good contractors make all the difference. Before the first nail goes in, we use infrared imaging technology and measurement cameras to find moisture within your home. The camera differentiates heat levels to provide non-contact moisture detection, which lets our technicians locate pipe leaks, moisture infiltration around seals, gaps in wall and ceiling insulation cavities, and more.

Since fire chemistry can contain various complex and severe reactions, every fire requires a unique approach when restoring. We take extra care to ensure that all grease, soot, burns, and potentially hazardous materials are handled and removed properly. Our technicians are equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and the latest technology to make finding these substances easy.

All structural repairs are made using only the highest quality replacement materials available. The correct materials are determined by the extent of the damage, financial constraints, and specific project criteria, all discussed and agreed upon during your initial consultation. Our water damage and fire restoration specialists have been pre-screened, thoroughly trained, and IICRC-certified to ensure they are the best in Texas.

“Ryan is a legend! Half my house flooded and the flooring, baseboards, and door frames had to be removed. He was at my place within an hour with all the equipment and info on how to file an insurance claim, then turned up the next day with a team to get things going. His communication is on point. So reliable. Saved my sanity!”

“Call Ryan with Total Restoration if you ever have a water issue at home or the office. I've used them three times and each time Ryan and Jason responded quickly, same day on the job. They work seamlessly with my insurance and were compassionate toward my tenants. Even my insurance adjuster said he loves working with this company.”

“I can't say enough about how Total Restoration of Texas helped me through the remediation process after the water heater in my attic leaked. I had used a big franchised company before, but by the time they called me back, Total Restoration had already completed the project. Their crew, led by Ryan Cook and Daniel, was amazing.”

Rebuild & restoration FAQ

Rebuild questions, answered

Do you handle both the mitigation and the rebuild, or just one?
We handle both, start to finish. After we complete mitigation (water extraction, drying, mold containment, or fire cleanup), our rebuild crew steps in to repair and reconstruct everything that was damaged or removed. You work with one company the entire way through, which means no handoffs, no gaps in accountability, and a smoother insurance process.
Will insurance cover the rebuild after water, fire, or mold damage?
In most cases, yes. We work directly with your insurance carrier and use Xactimate, the same estimating platform your adjuster uses, so our rebuild scope and pricing align from day one. We document the full extent of damage during mitigation and carry that documentation straight into the rebuild estimate. Most of our customers pay nothing out of pocket.
How long does a rebuild take after water or fire damage?
It depends on the scope. A single room rebuild after water damage typically takes one to two weeks once drying is complete. A fire-damaged kitchen or whole-floor reconstruction can run four to eight weeks. We give you a detailed timeline before any rebuild work begins, and we keep you updated throughout.
Can you match my existing materials, finishes, and paint colors?
Yes. Our goal is always to restore to pre-loss condition, which means matching your existing drywall texture, flooring, trim, and paint as closely as possible. We discuss materials and finishes during your initial consultation and confirm everything before the rebuild starts.
What if the damage is more extensive than expected once walls are opened?
It happens. When we open walls during mitigation and discover additional structural damage or hidden mold, we document it immediately and update your insurance estimate before proceeding. Nothing additional gets done without your approval and insurance authorization first.
Do you rebuild commercial properties, not just homes?
Yes. We work with residential homeowners, landlords, and commercial property owners throughout Central Texas. Our crews are experienced with both residential and light commercial reconstruction, including offices, retail spaces, and multi-unit properties.

Damage from water, fire, or mold?
We'll rebuild and restore it.

Our IICRC-certified crew handles the full job: mitigation, rebuild, and everything in between. We work directly with your insurance and won't call the project done until you're satisfied.
